Varun Tej’s recent film “Matka” turned out to be a huge flop, failing to attract even decent openings and getting rejected by the audience. The movie was produced by Vyra Entertainment and SRT Entertainment.
The latest news is that the producers were cheated out of Rs. 5.5 crores by a trusted team member, EVV Satish, who worked closely with producer Vijayendar Reddy.
Satish, the CEO of the film, misused the money during production by taking commissions from various departments and creating fake bills.
He also earns a salary of Rs. 2.5 lakhs per month and was considered a reliable person by the producer.
The scam came to light after the film’s release, leaving the producer shocked. Upon receiving complaints, the producer reviewed the accounts and discovered the fraud.
A detailed investigation is underway, and they are considering taking legal action soon.
